Mr. Clifford founded ZENN Motor Company, now called EEStor Corporation, in 2001 and was the CEO of ZENN from its inception until February of 2011.
On May 19, 2014, Mr. Clifford was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of EEStor Inc. (a subsidiary of ZENN Motor Company) and re-appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of ZENN Motor Company.
Mr. Clifford has over twenty five years of experience as a marketing strategist and multimedia producer with experience starting and growing entrepreneurial companies.
As Founder and CEO of EEStor Corporation, Mr. Clifford successfully led the organization to global brand recognition through its unique relationship with energy storage partner EEStor Inc.
From 2006 to present, Mr. Clifford has raised over $45 million in equity financing for EEStor Corporation.
Mr. Clifford began his career as a photographer. Mentored by Ansel Adams, he quickly became one of Canada's leading corporate photographers. In 1995, Mr. Clifford co-founded digIT Interactive, a full-service Internet marketing company serving Fortune 500 clients at the peak of the market. After selling digIT Interactive to Quebecor World in March of 2000, he sought a more world-changing endeavour and co-founded Feel Good Cars Inc. (the precursor to EEStor Corporation).
His vision for EEStor Corporation and EEStor is to set a strong commercial foundation for the companies, built upon the unique technologies that EEStor has developed over the past decade, with the ultimate objective of building high energy density electrical energy storage units that will change the way the world uses energy.
Mr. Clifford has been driving electric cars since 1995.
Kevin has 15 years of financial services and alternative energy experience primarily working in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and business development.
From 2000 to 2010, Kevin worked in the financial services industry in Canada ultimately running the Investment Banking department of one of the Country’s leading boutique Investment Dealers. Throughout his career, Kevin has been involved in over $5 billion of financings and $2.5 billion of merger and acquisition activity. Currently, Kevin is a Managing Partner & Co-Founder of Episolar Inc., a clean technology company that is developing a 50MW solar installation in Ghana and developing a handful of other projects worldwide.
In addition, Kevin sits on the board of and consults with a number of private and public companies within the diversified industries sector with a particular focus on alternative energy. He graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1999.
Mr. Mesburis joined the EEStor board in March 2016 and is the Chair of its Audit Committee. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst with more than twenty years of international experience in financial and capital markets. He currently also serves as a Director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee of ProMetic Life Sciences Inc. (PLI.TO) and a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Avivagen Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VIV).
Mr. Michalyshyn, LLB, MBA brings an extensive background in licensing and Intellectual Property law which shall assist the Company in the commercialization of its technologies. Recently, Mr. Michalyshyn was the General Counsel & VP Human Resources at QNX Software Systems and continued on after the acquisition of the company by BlackBerry Limited to become the head of BlackBerry’s Technology Licensing group. He is currently General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at ViXS Systems Inc. (VXS.TO).

Over the past thirty-five years Mr. Weir has held various engineering and operational management positions with major corporations such as IBM (Advanced System Design and Development Laboratory), Burroughs (developed the first thin-film head, associated thin-film magnetic media for magnetic disk drives, developed production facility) , TRW (developed ultra-high frequency communication channel circuits for Scientific Defense Initiative, assisted in developing integrated production line facility), Micropolis (successfully improved production throughput and reliability by reconfiguring all over-seas production in Thailand and Singapore), IBIS and EEStor, Inc.
Mr. Weir has the experience of successfully starting two high-technology companies, IBIS and EEStor, Inc. were he held executive level positions. At IBIS Mr. Weir developed the first ultrahigh-performance disk drive that contained both thin film heads and thin film magnetic media that was developed by IBIS for Cray Computer Corporation. Mr. Weir has over 21 granted patents and 15 pending patents.
At the present time, Mr. Weir is a co-founder of EEStor, Inc., a company that will use its patented and patent pending technologies and production processes to produce state-of-the-art capacitors. These units will be the enabling technology for the major advancement in multiple world-wide commercial and military business segments.
Mr. Weir has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, California. Mr. Weir graduated in the top one percent of his graduating class. Mr. Weir has advanced studies at UCLA, Santa Clara University – Santa Clara, California, and Moorpark College – Moorpark, California.
